These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Untamed Community website (www.untamedcommunity.com) and the Untamed Actor Directory (“the Directory”), operated under the name “Untamed” (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By accessing the website, creating an account, or purchasing a membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
PART A – UNTAMED ACTOR DIRECTORY TERMS
1. Purpose of the Directory
The Untamed Actor Directory exists to support performers who live in, or have a reliable base within the Midlands by providing a platform where they can showcase professional profiles and be contacted by casting directors, producers, directors, photographers and other creative professionals.
The Directory is a talent discovery platform only. Untamed does not act as an agent, casting director, employer, manager or representative for any user and does not guarantee auditions, employment, professional engagements or any particular outcome.
Registration with the Directory does not guarantee contact from casting professionals, auditions, employment, representation or professional engagements. The Directory exists to increase performers’ visibility and facilitate professional connections, but all casting and hiring decisions remain entirely at the discretion of those using the Directory.
2. Eligibility & Age Requirement
2.1
Membership is open to performers aged 18 and over only.
2.2
By registering, users confirm that they meet the age requirement and that all information provided is accurate, complete and truthful.
3. Regional Requirement
3.1
The Directory is intended for performers who live in, or maintain a genuine and reliable professional base within, the Midlands.
3.2
By purchasing membership, users confirm that the regional information provided is accurate.
3.3
Untamed reserves the right to remove or suspend profiles and/or terminate membership without refund where a user is found not to meet this requirement.
4. Membership, Fees & Refunds
4.1
Membership fees contribute towards the administration, maintenance and continued development of the Directory and Untamed’s wider activities.
4.2
Membership fees are non-refundable, including where:
- a user chooses to leave the Directory;
- a profile is removed for breach of these Terms;
- a user is found to be ineligible;
- a profile is not approved because the eligibility or professional standards are not met.
4.3
Untamed reserves the right to amend membership fees with reasonable notice.
5. Professional Eligibility
5.1
The Directory is intended for professional and emerging performers.
5.2
To be eligible for membership, performers should demonstrate at least one of the following:
- recognised professional acting or performance training (including, but not limited to, accredited drama school or recognised screen or stage training); and/or
- previous acting experience demonstrated through relevant performance credits.
5.3
By creating and maintaining a profile, users confirm that all information relating to their training, credits and professional experience is accurate and not misleading.
5.4
Untamed reserves the right to request clarification or supporting evidence and may suspend, remove or decline to publish any profile where eligibility requirements are not met or information is found to be false or materially misleading.
6. Profile Review & Approval
6.1
All performer profiles are reviewed before publication.
6.2
Untamed may request further information, amendments or supporting evidence before approving a profile.
6.3
Approval is at Untamed’s discretion and is intended to maintain the professional quality, integrity and usefulness of the Directory. Profiles should contain sufficient information to be of genuine value to casting professionals and other users of the Directory.
6.4
Payment of a membership fee does not guarantee publication of a profile.
7. User Profiles & Content
7.1
Users are responsible for the accuracy, legality and ownership of all information, images and materials uploaded to their profile.
7.2
Users are responsible for keeping their profile information accurate and reasonably up to date, including contact details, representation, professional credits and availability where applicable.
7.3
By uploading content, users grant Untamed a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that material for the purposes of operating and promoting the Directory.
7.4
Untamed reserves the right to edit, hide or remove content that is inaccurate, misleading, offensive, discriminatory, unlawful or otherwise inconsistent with the purpose or professional standards of the Directory.
7.5
Information provided within user profiles may be displayed within the Directory and used as searchable criteria, including profile filters, to help other users discover suitable performers.
8. Contact & Professional Engagement
8.1
By joining the Directory, performers acknowledge that registered users may contact them regarding professional opportunities or related industry enquiries.
8.2
Untamed provides the Directory solely as a platform to facilitate introductions between users.
8.3
Untamed is not a party to any communication, negotiation, audition, engagement, contract or agreement entered into as a result of contact made through the Directory.
8.4
Untamed does not routinely verify the identity, legitimacy, suitability or conduct of individuals, organisations or opportunities using the Directory.
8.5
Users remain responsible for assessing the legitimacy and suitability of any opportunity, organisation or individual before entering into any professional engagement or agreement.
9. Appropriate Use of the Directory
9.1
The Directory must only be used for legitimate professional purposes.
9.2
Users must not use the Directory to:
- send abusive, threatening, discriminatory or harassing communications;
- send sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate messages;
- send unsolicited commercial marketing or spam;
- impersonate another individual or organisation;
- collect personal information for unlawful or unauthorised purposes;
- misuse information obtained through the Directory.
9.3
Untamed reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove accounts that misuse the Directory or breach these Terms.
10. Respect for Performer Boundaries
10.1
Users must only contact performers regarding opportunities that fall within the preferences stated on their profile wherever reasonably practicable, including the types of projects they are willing to consider (for example paid, unpaid, student or passion projects).
10.2
Repeated disregard for performers’ stated preferences or other misuse of the Directory may result in suspension or removal of access.
11. Reporting Concerns
11.1
Users who receive messages through the Directory that they believe are inappropriate, abusive, fraudulent or otherwise inconsistent with these Terms should report them by contacting info@untamedcommunity.com.
11.2
Untamed may investigate reported misuse and, where appropriate, suspend or terminate a user’s access to the Directory.
11.3
Untamed cannot investigate or resolve disputes arising from communications, contracts or professional engagements that take place outside the Directory but may take action where there is evidence that the Directory has been misused.
11.4
Performers are under no obligation to respond to any enquiry received through the Directory and should exercise caution before sharing personal contact details or entering into professional agreements.
12. Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
The Directory is committed to inclusive, equitable and anti-discriminatory practice.
All demographic information provided by users (including, but not limited to, ethnicity, gender identity, disability and neurodivergence) is self-identified and entirely optional.
Where users choose to display this information, it is provided solely to support authentic representation, inclusive casting and equitable access to opportunities.
Users must engage with this information respectfully. Misuse of demographic information or discriminatory behaviour may result in removal from the Directory without refund.
13. Zero Tolerance Policy
13.1
Untamed operates a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying, harassment, discrimination, exploitation, fraud or abusive behaviour.
13.2
Serious or repeated breaches may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership without refund.
14. Cancellation & Account Deletion
14.1
Users may request cancellation of their membership and deletion of their account by contacting info@untamedcommunity.com.
14.2
Upon cancellation:
- the performer’s profile will be removed from public view;
- access to member services will cease;
- personal data will be deleted or anonymised in accordance with our Privacy Policy, except where we are legally required to retain certain information.
14.3
Membership fees are non-refundable.
14.4
A limited record (such as name, email address and payment history) may be retained where required for legal, accounting or audit purposes.
14.5
The same provisions apply where membership is terminated by Untamed.
15. Liability
15.1
Use of the Directory is entirely at the user’s own discretion and risk.
15.2
Untamed is not responsible for:
- the actions or conduct of third parties;
- the legitimacy or outcome of opportunities;
- payments, contracts or other agreements made between users;
- financial loss, reputational damage or injury arising from independently arranged work or communications.
15.3
Users remain responsible for assessing the legitimacy and suitability of any opportunity or organisation before entering into any professional engagement.
16. Suspension & Termination
Untamed may suspend or terminate access to the Directory where a user:
- breaches these Terms;
- provides false or misleading information;
- misuses the Directory or contact facilities;
- undermines the safety, integrity or purpose of the Directory.
17. Changes to These Terms
Untamed may amend these Terms from time to time.
Continued use of the website or Directory following publication of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
PART B – GENERAL WEBSITE TERMS
Cookies
We use essential cookies required for website functionality, security and account management.
Intellectual Property
Users retain ownership of the content they upload to their profile. By uploading content to the Directory, users grant Untamed a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and use that content solely for the purpose of operating, promoting and administering the Directory.
User-Generated Content
Users warrant that any content submitted:
- is lawful and original;
- does not infringe the rights of any third party;
- is not defamatory, abusive, discriminatory or offensive.
Untamed reserves the right to remove content that breaches these standards.
Links to the website
Links to this website are permitted provided they are lawful, fair and do not imply endorsement by Untamed.
Framing or reproducing any part of the website without prior written permission is prohibited.
External Content
Untamed accepts no responsibility for content appearing on external websites that link to or reference this website.
Accuracy & Availability
While we aim to keep information accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that website content is complete, accurate or continuously available.
PART C – LEGAL
Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Untamed Community CIC excludes all warranties relating to the website and Directory and shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from their use, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
